"We can?t speculate in any regatta"

Urdaibai Alvia's trainer, Jon Salsamendi, value the preaseason of his team and he make the decision to compite better with the bests

The rowing boat of Urdaibai Avia has started the preaseason to demostrate one year more that the 'Bou Bizakaia' boat is one of the strongest boats of the San Miguel League and clear challenger to win the Caixabank Crown. The coach of the rowing boat of Bermeo, Jon Salsamendi, analyse "hard" preseason.

After the second position on the last San Miguel League, the trainer of Orio says that "Urdaibai Avia is not a team to speculate, we cant't put the objective to win a competition or win the league". Nevertheless, the coach explains that "what he have to do is preapar well on the winter to start the summer on the bests conditions".

Jon Salsamendi is working hard with little changes squad, "the squad is the same of the three or four years ago, we only had two outs". However, the trainer admits that "is very difficult work with this squad, is possible that the suitability cames, so we have to fill them with ilusion to work with decision year by year".

The challenge is ambicious for this favourite of San Miguel League, for that, "we have to arrive to the first reggata with chance to win and we have to mantain this rate until the last days of September" says Jon Salsamendi.
